New hand injury treatment study: can specialized therapy speed recovery?
NCT ID NCT06399614
Summary
This study is testing whether having an occupational therapist lead hand injury care right away in emergency settings helps people recover better and faster. It will compare outcomes for 150 adults with hand injuries across four Irish sites—three with the new therapy approach and one with standard care. Researchers will track hand function, pain, and quality of life over six months to see which approach works best.
