Hidden weakness lingers after hamstring injury, study warns
NCT ID NCT07171385
Summary
This study aimed to understand why football players often re-injure their hamstrings. Researchers measured muscle activity in 42 male players, comparing those with a past hamstring injury to healthy players. They found that even after recovery, injured players showed weaker activation in several key back and hip muscles during exercises, which might explain the ongoing risk of getting hurt again.
