Hidden muscle problems linger after hamstring pulls
NCT ID NCT07171385
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study checked muscle activity in 42 male football players, half with a recent hamstring strain. Using special sensors during exercises, researchers found that injured players still had altered muscle use in their hamstrings, buttocks, back, and lower spine. These lasting changes may increase the chance of getting hurt again.
