First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether placing preterm babies in a hammock position or using nesting (cozy boundaries) helps them feel more comfortable and keeps their heart rate, breathing, and oxygen levels stable. Researchers will study 72 preterm infants born between 32-37 weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit. The goal is to find simple ways to reduce stress and pain for these fragile babies.
