First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study compares a new gel called 2-Deoxy-D-ribose (2dDR) to the standard hair loss treatment minoxidil. Researchers want to see if the gel can regrow hair as well or better than minoxidil in adults aged 18 to 50 with mild to moderate hair loss. Sixty participants will use either the gel or minoxidil daily for 6 months, and doctors will measure hair growth and check for side effects.
