First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 01, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether applying a special gel to the site where a duodenal polyp was removed can prevent serious bleeding. About 234 adults with large polyps in the duodenum will be randomly assigned to receive either the gel or standard care. The goal is to see if the gel reduces the need for blood transfusions, hospital stays, or repeat procedures within 30 days.
