First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether a gel made from hyaluronic acid (a natural substance) can reduce pain and help wounds heal faster after gum graft surgery. Thirty adults aged 18-70 who needed a gum graft from the roof of their mouth took part. Researchers measured wound size and pain levels over six weeks to see if the gel made a difference.
