New mRNA bird flu vaccine enters human testing
NCT ID NCT06727058
Summary
This study is testing a new mRNA vaccine designed to protect against a specific strain of bird flu (H5) that could cause a future pandemic. Researchers are giving 276 healthy adults different doses of the vaccine or a placebo to find the safest and most effective dose. The main goals are to check for side effects and see if the vaccine triggers a strong immune response that could fight off the flu.
