Simpler stomach bug treatment put to the test

NCT ID NCT07179159

Summary

This study is testing whether a simpler, two-drug treatment is as effective as a standard four-drug treatment for clearing H. pylori, a common stomach bacteria. About 370 adults with a current H. pylori infection will take one of the two antibiotic regimens for 14 days. Researchers will compare how well each treatment works to clear the infection and monitor for side effects.
