Mass screening and treatment launched to combat stomach cancer in laos
NCT ID NCT07340593
Summary
This study aimed to understand and reduce the risk of stomach cancer in two provinces of Laos. Over 1,200 adult residents were tested for H. pylori, a bacteria linked to cancer. Those who tested positive received antibiotic treatment, and higher-risk participants also had an endoscopy to check for early signs of stomach cancer.
