First seen Jan 14, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at how common H. pylori infection is in two regions of Laos and whether treating it can help prevent stomach cancer. Over 1,200 adults were tested for the bacteria, and those who tested positive received a 14-day course of antibiotics. The goal was to see if eradicating the infection reduces the risk of developing stomach cancer in the future.
