First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tested whether a combination of two drugs, cyclophosphamide and bortezomib (CyBor), could prevent graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in 23 adults with blood cancers who received a stem cell transplant. GVHD is a serious condition where donor cells attack the patient's body. Participants received the drug combo shortly after transplant. The goal was to see if this approach could lower rates of acute and chronic GVHD.
