Summary
This phase 3 trial tests two drugs, Thymoglobulin and Grafalon, to see which one better prevents graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in patients aged 50-70 with acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome. All participants receive a stem cell transplant from a matched unrelated donor. The study aims to reduce GVHD severity and improve recovery without increasing cancer relapse.
