New Alzheimer's drug shows promise in slowing memory loss

Summary
This study tested whether weekly injections of an experimental drug called GV1001 could help slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease. It involved 199 people aged 55-85 with mild to moderate Alzheimer's who received either GV1001 or a placebo for one year. The main goal was to see if the drug could improve or stabilize memory, thinking skills, and daily function compared to the placebo.
