Could your Child's gut health predict a severe RSV infection?

NCT ID NCT07417657

Summary

This study aims to understand if the types of bacteria in a child's gut are linked to how sick they get from RSV, a common virus that causes serious lung infections in young children. Researchers will observe about 250 infants in Vietnam with RSV, comparing stool and blood samples from those with mild versus severe illness. The goal is to find patterns that might help identify children at higher risk for severe disease in the future.
