Summary

This study looks at whether the types of bacteria in a child's gut are linked to how sick they get from RSV, a common respiratory virus. Researchers will compare gut bacteria and immune markers in 250 Vietnamese children with mild versus severe RSV. No treatment is given; the goal is to understand why some children become very ill.
