Summary
This study looks at whether taking probiotics for 4 weeks, along with a personalized diet, can improve gut health and running performance in marathon runners. Twenty-seven adult male long-distance runners will take either probiotics or a placebo. Researchers will measure oxygen use, gut bacteria, and signs of inflammation to see if the probiotics make a difference.
