Probiotic trial aims to protect footballers' guts from jet lag and heat

Summary
This study looks at how long flights and pre-season training in hot weather change the gut bacteria and immune system of 30 elite male footballers. Half will take a probiotic supplement and half a placebo to see if it helps keep their gut healthy. Participants provide stool and saliva samples over the pre-season period.
