First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 42 healthy adults to understand how the length of their gut and the types of bacteria living there affect how well they absorb energy from food. Researchers used MRI scans, measured food intake, and analyzed stool and urine samples. The goal was simply to learn more about these relationships, not to test any treatment.
