Scientists map your gut to see why you absorb food differently
NCT ID NCT06377956
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the physical length of a person's intestines and the types of bacteria living there are related to how efficiently they absorb energy from food. Researchers scanned the guts of 42 healthy volunteers using MRI and analyzed their stool to measure bacteria and leftover food energy. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about why people might process the same food differently.
