Gut bacteria tested as potential Alzheimer's treatment
NCT ID NCT07496021
Summary
This study is testing whether a specific probiotic bacteria, called L. lactis CKDB001, can help slow down memory and thinking problems in people with early Alzheimer's disease. Over 24 weeks, 60 participants will take either the probiotic or a placebo pill to see if it improves their cognitive test scores and daily function. The research also aims to see if the treatment affects Alzheimer's-related proteins in the brain and blood.
