New gut treatment tested for cancer Patients' radiation damage

Summary

This study is testing whether a new, enhanced version of a gut bacteria transplant works as well as the standard version to help control bowel damage caused by radiation therapy for cancer. It will involve 60 adults who have completed radiation for abdominal or pelvic cancer and have ongoing bowel symptoms. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard or enhanced transplant, and researchers will compare their symptoms and recovery.
