First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether a natural peptide from gut bacteria (RUCILP) can change blood sugar and hormone levels in 15 healthy men. Participants receive either the peptide or a placebo through a tube in the small intestine. The goal is to learn how this bacterial substance affects the body, not to treat any disease.
