Could an antibiotic for your gut make your heart pill stronger?

NCT ID NCT07203846

Summary

This study is testing if an imbalance in gut bacteria makes a common blood-thinning heart medication less effective. Researchers will give 50 heart attack survivors a short course of the antibiotic rifaximin to try to fix this imbalance. They will then check if the heart medication works better at preventing dangerous blood clots.
