New smile solution: tiny insert aims to hide excess gum
NCT ID NCT06991699
Summary
This small study tested a custom-made plastic insert placed under the nose to help reduce the appearance of a gummy smile. It involved 10 healthy adults whose gummy smile was caused by a short, mobile upper lip. Researchers measured how much gum showed when smiling and asked participants how satisfied they were with the results.
