Can fixing gums stop teeth grinding?
NCT ID NCT07053878
Summary
This study tested whether treating severe gum disease could reduce teeth grinding and clenching, both while awake and asleep. It involved 40 adults with and without gum disease, measuring their grinding activity before and three months after a standard gum cleaning treatment. The goal was to see if improving gum health helps control this common, damaging habit.
