First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests two methods to fix gum recession around dental implants in the front of the mouth. One method uses a small piece of the patient's own gum tissue, while the other uses a special skin-like material plus a protein gel. The goal is to see which approach works better to cover the exposed implant and improve the look of the smile. The study involves 28 healthy adults with a single implant that has gum recession.
