Gum thickening breakthrough: your own blood may fix thin gums without surgery
NCT ID NCT07521527
First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests if a special injection made from your own blood (i-PRF) can safely thicken thin gums, which are prone to receding and causing tooth sensitivity or aesthetic issues. Twenty adults with thin gums will receive the injection alone or with a minor procedure, and their gum thickness will be measured over 6 months. The goal is to find a simple, natural way to improve gum health and avoid more invasive surgery.
