First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested a new material called Mucoderm, made from donated tissue, to treat receding gums. It was compared to the standard method of using a piece of the patient's own gum tissue. The goal was to see if Mucoderm could cover the exposed tooth roots just as well but with less pain. The study involved 12 adults with gum recession on both sides of their mouth.
