New gum fix: collagen patch may replace painful graft surgery

Summary

This study tests a less invasive way to treat receding gums using a collagen membrane instead of a traditional tissue graft. Eighteen healthy adults with localized gum recession will receive one of the two treatments. Researchers will measure changes in gum depth and width, as well as patient pain and satisfaction, over six months.
