First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 18, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study is testing if a gentler cleaning method works as well as traditional scraping to prepare teeth for gum graft surgery. The surgery aims to cover receding gums. Researchers will compare a sugar-based air-polishing technique to manual scraping in 20 adults to see which leads to better gum coverage and less discomfort.
