Gum gel shows promise in healing recession
NCT ID NCT07437885
Summary
This study tested whether adding a hyaluronic acid gel to a standard gum surgery could improve healing and patient comfort for receding gums. Twenty adults with receding gums on both sides of their upper jaw had the surgery, with the gel used on one side and a saline rinse on the other for comparison. Researchers measured gum coverage, health, and patient satisfaction over six months to see if the gel made a difference.
