Tiny titanium implants tested to fill gaps in your smile
NCT ID NCT07401667
Summary
This small study compared two surgical methods to rebuild the small triangle of gum (papilla) that sometimes recedes between teeth, creating a black triangle. Eighteen young, healthy adults with this condition had either a small titanium insert placed into the bone or received a graft of their own gum tissue. Researchers measured how well each method restored the gum's appearance and height over three months.
