New gel tested to ease pain of gum surgery

NCT ID NCT07458685

Summary

This study tested whether applying a special gel containing hyaluronic acid to the roof of the mouth could help people heal better after a common dental graft procedure. Researchers compared the gel against standard care in 20 patients to see if it reduced post-surgery pain and discomfort and improved how the wound looked as it healed. Patients tracked their symptoms and had checkups over two months.
