Gum graft boosts implant infection treatment

NCT ID NCT07471386

First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a small gum graft to standard deep cleaning helps control peri-implantitis, an infection around dental implants. Thirty non-smoking, healthy adults with thin gum tissue will be split into two groups: one gets the graft, the other gets standard care only. Researchers will measure changes in pocket depth around the implant after 12 months.
