First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a small gum graft to standard deep cleaning helps treat inflammation around dental implants (peri-implant mucositis). Researchers will compare four groups of 16 people each, including those with healthy implants and those with inflammation, with or without a graft. They will measure gum health and inflammatory markers over 7 months to see if the graft provides extra benefit.
