Summary
This study tested two non-surgical gum disease treatments in 80 non-smoking adults with early periodontitis. One group received Guided Biofilm Therapy, the other got conventional scaling with curettes and an ultrasonic device. Researchers measured gum health and immune markers in gum fluid before treatment and at one and three months after. The goal was to see which method better reduces inflammation and improves gum health.
