Deep cleaning transforms lives: gum therapy restores chewing and boosts happiness
NCT ID NCT07450573
Summary
This study tested how treating severe gum disease affects a person's ability to chew and their overall quality of life. Forty adults—20 with severe gum disease and 20 with healthy gums—participated. The patients with gum disease received deep cleaning treatments and, when needed, minor gum surgery. Researchers found that after treatment, patients could chew much better and reported feeling significantly happier with their oral health and daily comfort.
