Gum surgery gel showdown: can new option match gold standard?
NCT ID NCT07230522
Summary
This study tested whether a hyaluronic acid gel works as well as a standard protein gel when both are used with a bone graft material during gum surgery. The goal was to see which gel helps regrow more bone, reduce deep gum pockets, and improve attachment in adults with severe gum disease. Researchers compared the two treatments in 17 participants who had surgery and follow-up visits.
