Could cleaning your teeth help you smell better?
NCT ID NCT07424300
Summary
This study looked at the connection between gum disease, bad breath, and the sense of smell. Researchers followed 101 adults with gum disease and bad breath before and after they received a standard deep dental cleaning. They measured bad breath chemicals and tested smell ability to see if improving gum health also improved how well people could smell.
