Gentle brush or dental bur? study tests best way to erase gum spots
NCT ID NCT07402720
Summary
This study compares two dental tools used to remove dark spots (hyperpigmentation) from gums for cosmetic reasons. Twenty healthy adults with dark spots on both sides of their gums will have one side treated with a gentle polishing brush and the other with a ceramic trimming bur. Researchers will measure which tool works better at removing spots, causes less pain, and leads to faster healing over three months.
