Could your mouthwash hurt your heart? new study investigates gum disease link
NCT ID NCT07311512
Summary
This study aims to understand the connection between gum disease and heart health. Researchers will look at how professional teeth cleaning, with or without a common antiseptic mouthwash, changes the bacteria and proteins in the mouth. They will then measure if these changes affect blood vessel function and inflammation in 30 adults with gum disease over three months.
