Summary
This study compares jaw muscle fatigue from chewing sugar-free gum in 30 young adults (ages 19-35) with and without temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD). Participants chew gum for up to 18 minutes, rating their fatigue and having muscle activity measured. The goal is to understand how TMD affects chewing endurance.
