Summary

This study compares two different membranes (bovine pericardium and native collagen) used with a bone graft to repair class II furcation defects—a type of bone loss between the roots of lower molars. Twenty adults with this gum disease received one of the two treatments after a deep cleaning. The goal is to see which membrane helps bone and gum attachment heal better over 6 months.
