First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether using 3D-printed surgical guides to harvest and place bone grafts in the jaw reduces pain, swelling, and recovery time compared to the traditional freehand method. Forty adults who need jawbone rebuilding before getting dental implants will be randomly assigned to one of the two techniques. The main focus is on patient-reported pain and discomfort after surgery.
