New drug trial targets Hard-to-Treat liver virus

Summary

This study is testing a new drug called GS-4321 for people with chronic hepatitis delta, a serious liver infection. First, researchers will check the drug's safety and how it moves through the body in healthy volunteers. Then, they will give it to people with the disease to see if it safely lowers the amount of virus in their blood and improves liver health.
