Tiny markers reveal bone growth secrets after childhood leg surgery
NCT ID NCT04235517
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study uses a special X-ray technique (RSA) to precisely measure how children's leg bones grow after surgery to correct length differences or bowing. Ten children who have had or will have this surgery will be tracked to understand growth patterns and help doctors decide the best time to remove temporary implants. The goal is to improve future treatment timing, not to test a new treatment itself.
