New study investigates weight gain in kids on Long-Acting growth hormone

NCT ID NCT07333521

Summary

This study aims to understand how different forms of growth hormone treatment affect children's body weight and composition. Researchers will follow 100 children with growth hormone deficiency for three years, measuring their body fat, muscle, and bone. The study compares newer long-acting injections, which some children gain weight on initially, with traditional daily injections to see how body composition changes over time.
