Summary
This study tested whether a specific type of group therapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) works better than standard educational group sessions to reduce social anxiety in teenagers. It involved 34 adolescents aged 12-17 who were diagnosed with Social Anxiety Disorder. Participants attended eight weekly group sessions and their anxiety symptoms were measured before, immediately after, and one month following the treatment.
