Laser treatment for enlarged prostate: new imaging study reveals healing process
NCT ID NCT01732991
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at how prostate tissue heals after a Greenlight laser treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or enlarged prostate. Researchers used MRI and special ultrasound scans to measure the area of dead tissue created by the laser in 12 men over a year. The goal was to better understand the treatment's effects, not to test if it works.
