Green tea rinse tested in battle against gum disease

NCT ID NCT07364565

Summary

This study aims to see if a mouthwash made from pure green tea can help control dental plaque and reduce gum inflammation (gingivitis). For three weeks, 44 healthy adults will stop their normal brushing and flossing and instead use an assigned mouthwash twice daily. Researchers will compare the green tea rinse against two popular mouthwashes and a placebo to measure effects on plaque, gum health, and how fresh people's mouths feel.
